Hi friends,
My husband and I went to the Vegetarian Food Fair in Toronto today. It was alright... Eating dosa on the harbourfront has become the best part of the event. Has anyone noticed that tons of Toronto events/festivals have become exactly the same in the past few years? Same vendors, selling the same shit in the exact same stalls...it's weird! The One of a Kind show is the same way (my mom wants to cancel our yearly OOAK trip because of the repetition...wah!)
Anyway...I bought some weirdo fake meat. One thing is a....chicken? The other is...a duck? I asked the dude selling the products what the difference between the two was and he said "that one is called duck." I'm glad he pointed that out. They would also be aptly named as white and brown.
Though I saw veggie meats of all shapes, colours, animal forms and Engrish names I did not come across the thing of legends...the Vegetarian Roast Suckling Pig. I am disappoint.
When I come across the fabled cruelty-free eviscerated piglet you can bet you'll all be invited over for dinner, new friends.

Oh hey!
Hello friends,
So...this is my new blog. I'm doing my best to make it unugly (in my dreams this blog wallpaper would be my IRL wallpaper.)
I hope to use this as a place to write about balcony gardening, crafting, thrifting, upcycling, more gardening, canning, cooking, Chihuahuas, trolls and the like.
Mo lata.
Peace out, new friends.

I make good on my promises...Chihuahua and the result of balcony gardening. |
